Government Regulations
- School buses need special LTO stickers and markings to be exempted from the number coding scheme in Metro Manila.
- They also have to display the LTFRB hotline numbers, maximum passenger capacity, and other info where passengers can easily see it.
- Vehicles used to transport kids are required to have child seats with the PS or ICC sticker. Don't even think about faking those stickers - you could get in big trouble!
School Guidelines
- At UP Los Baños, vehicle stickers are valid for one school year. Each applicant can register up to 2 vehicles on a first-come, first-served basis. There's a fee and the stickers are required for campus entry.
- Similarly, at DLSU-D, stickers are only issued to students, employees and accredited individuals. They're also valid for one school year with a fee and a 2-vehicle limit per person.
General Rules
- Any unauthorized stickers or decals that block the driver's view on the windshield are a big no-no.
- Large vehicles like buses also need to have reflective tapes for better visibility, as per government regulations.
- Drivers caught using expired or non-compliant child seats can get fined and even have their license suspended if they're repeat offenders. Yikes!
And if you want to put stickers, ads on your school bus.
